Taylor August

Partner

Taylor August is an immigration attorney at August, Becerra & Zheng. Admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2025, Taylor represents clients in defensive asylum matters, including claims for Withholding of Removal and protection under the Convention Against Torture. Taylor also assists clients with a range of other immigration matters, including green card applications, student visas, and employment-based visas. From preparing and filing asylum applications to drafting motions and legal briefs, Taylor advocates for clients before USCIS and the Executive Office for Immigration Review.

Before pursuing law, Taylor spent nearly five years in the private sector, working as an analyst at Grady Hospital and U.S. Bank/Elavon. In those roles, Taylor developed strong analytical and project management skills — building cost-benefit analyses, managing cross-functional initiatives, and translating complex data into actionable recommendations for senior leadership. That foundation in rigorous analysis and stakeholder communication carries directly into Taylor’s legal practice, where attention to detail and thorough preparation make the difference for clients navigating the complexities of the immigration system.

Taylor earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2024 and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Sacred Heart University in 2016.
